Last Day: "Masterpiece Quilts" at Latimer Quilt & Textile Center

Today is the last day of my exhibit, "Masterpiece Quilts, Modernism in American Patchwork, 1810-1970" at Latimer Quilt & Textile Center in Tillamook, Oregon. The exhibit has been up for the last two months, and two of the quilts appeared in this weekend's Oregonian.

Carol Weber and Linda Machuta were volunteering with the Latimer booth at the Northwest Quilters show on Friday and Saturday. They were doing bed turnings, and several visitors asked where they could see my quilts. I was flattered, but Carol and Linda had to let those visitors know the quilts were over in Tillamook rather than at the Expo Center.

So, if you really want to see the quilts, there is still time - today only! Latimer is open today until 4pm. Originally we were going to start taking the quilts down at noon, but after the Oregonian article, we decided to leave them up until closing time. I will go a little early, just to be there and enjoy the display before it comes down. I will also be bringing several old quilts to add to Latimer's consignment shop.
